thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving I spend my day at my mom's house with my family. I always make the turkey. My turkey is quite different from normal. I brine it over night in water with rosemary, thyme, brown sugar, salt some oranges, and lemons. Then I cook the oranges and lemons in the turkey. The turkey has such great flavor. After dinner I spend time with all the young kids and play games with them. I am thankful for health and safety of my family, and the things many of us take for granted, such as food, shelter, and love.

  1. First, your turkey sounds awesome! I think it's interesting how everyone does things so differently. We are going to have a Turduckin for Chirstmas and I'm so excited. I think it's great to take time to think about the little things we all take for granted. I complain about life and then think about those who really do have nothing. I have so much to be thankful for!

  2. That sounds like a lot of fun playing games with the kids. Your thanksgiving meal sounds wonderful. It sounds like you put a lot of work into making your turkey but it sounds like the time spent is well worth it.I agree with you we all take things for granted. Having a healthy family is the most important.
