thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving I spend my day at my mom's house with my family. I always make the turkey. My turkey is quite different from normal. I brine it over night in water with rosemary, thyme, brown sugar, salt some oranges, and lemons. Then I cook the oranges and lemons in the turkey. The turkey has such great flavor. After dinner I spend time with all the young kids and play games with them. I am thankful for health and safety of my family, and the things many of us take for granted, such as food, shelter, and love.

Gaunt to Gargantuan
I felt the article had some good points on how actress make it seem so easy losing and gaining weight for there movies. Obesity is a big problem in society, especially child obesity. People in society don't understand why they can't lose weight like their favorite actress do. Society don't realize that actress have personal trainer and cooks. I think that this article pointed out how unrealistic our society is.Losing weight is not an easy task. It takes time, dedication, and will power. Maybe instead of telling people how easy it is to lose weight focus on educated those who want to lose weight.

Authentic Italian Food
If you like authentic Italian food that will melt in your mouth, Carrabba’s Italian Grill located in Southgate Michigan is the place to go. From the minute you walk in, to the minute you walk out, you are greeted by a wait staff who is well aware of the Golden Rule in the restaurant business; the customer is always number one.
On September 18th 2009 at 8:00 p.m. I became a customer of this fine dining Italian restaurant. During my visit, I became surrounded by the smell of fresh bread and Italian herbs coming from the kitchen, and the sound of Dean Martin singing “Vieni Su” (say you love me too) at a low volume . What you see when you are eventually seated is elegance. The tables are covered with a white table cloth, and a clean set of silverware wrapped in white linen. Love is the feeling in the air as you are waiting. A short trip to the bathroom only confirms that they want you to feel like royalty. The restrooms are clean, with beautiful flowers laying on the counter. The walls are a warm color. The lights are dim to keep the calm, relaxing feeling you have as you dine at this fine restaurant. Arriving back to the table you are greeted by staff who are dressed in black attire and white apron, waiting to take your order.
The place is busy, but you feel like you are the only one. The waitress is kind, attentive, and listens to every word you say. They communicate with you as if you were part of the family. At the beginning of our meal, they poured olive oil, basil, and Italian seasoning on a small plate for us to dip our fresh bread in. The taste of it took my breath away, it was that good. The fried Calamari appetizer is lightly battered, and served with a side of marinara sauce. It is one amazing treat. I could already taste the ten ounce Sirloin Marsala, covered in Lombardo wine sauce and mushrooms before they set it on the table. I was also given the option of spaghetti, or potato as a side. I choose spaghetti, and what a good choice I made. I could smell the garlic and onion coming from the spaghetti, it made my mouth water. Sirloin Marsala is an out of this world Entrée. When you get to dessert, you have very few, but very fulfilling choices. Sogno Di Cioccolata, meaning in Italian the “Chocolate Dream,” it is sensational. It gives your stomach a warm, satisfying feeling. It has a hint of Kahlua, which is always a good thing for me, chocolate sauce, chocolate mousse, and whip cream on top of a fudge brownie.
The price is a little high; appetizers are between $8.00- $10.00; the entrée is between $9.00-$21.00, and dessert runs about $5.00 dollars. The money spent brings you more than enough food. Reservation are not required, but on a busy day expect to wait approximately twenty to thirty minutes. I left Carrabba’s very impressed and received good quality Italian food. If you ever have the chance to go to Carrabba’s, take up the opportunity and be prepared for the best Italian restaurant downriver!

Halloween weekend
Over the weekend I spent time with my children. My youngest was dressed up as an squad commander, and not sure what the oldest was. My niece, her two children, my niece in law and her daughter, and my two kids went to my mother's house to spend Halloween. We walked around the neighborhood for about three hours. On the weekends I spend a lot of time with my children whether it is reading to them or playing outside in the leaves. On Sunday my niece came over with her kids to spend quality time with their cousins. Besides spending time with my family I wrote a paper for Philosophy and study for my Digital Evidence test.
